Dimensions: 1 1/16″ wide by 1 7/8″ high

This cross design is inspired by a 9^th century Byzantine reliquary cross. On the obverse is the Virgin Mary in “Orans”. The Orans position for prayer with hands and arms raised toward heaven is an ancient symbol of a soul in union with God interceding on behalf of mankind. The Virgin Mary, the most holy Mother of God is often depicted as the sanctified soul and pure receptacle of God’s grace, who intercedes for us and passes on to us the Divine Grace that She receives as Mediatress.

Greek inscription above translates to “All Hallowed”

And on the reverse is the image of Christ with outstretched arms, a symbol of peace and love for all mankind.
